Contributor Spotlight: Dave Wachter & Marie Enger
over 3 years ago – Fri, Oct 23, 2020 at 04:24:22 PM

Dave Wachter and Marie Enger are both integral to the launch of CORRIDOR magazine. They are talented friends who have supported us every step of the way, from creating our cover to serving as advisors on managing the project. We'd like to introduce you to both of them in this update, as well as the bundles they're offering for our campaign!

Dave Wachter has worked as a comic book artist on various titles, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Godzilla, Breath of Bones: A Tale of the Golem, and The Guns of Shadow Valley. His current project is a creator owned science fiction war epic called The Detachment. His work has been nominated for both Eisner and Harvey Awards, and he was nominated for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award. He resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his family and many cats.

You can get Dave's art on both the cover and a signed print for this campaign. But... he's also offering a bundle tier that includes those rewards PLUS a signed copy of his hardcover graphic novel BREATH OF BONES.

Here's a summary for the story, from Dave and Steve Niles: A British plane crashes in a Jewish village, sparking a Nazi invasion. Using clay and mud from the river, the villagers bring to life a giant monster to battle for their freedom and future. Collects the entire miniseries.

Likewise, Marie Enger also has a bundle tier that includes signed copies of two of her zine comics!

Marie Enger is a comic creator and illustrator based out of St. Louis. They spend their days working on UNANNOUNCED SPOOKY STUFF x3 and their dark occult western TTRPG CASKET LAND. Past clients include Dark Horse, BOOM!, Oni Press, Image, Netflix, and PUP. Past works include RICK and MORTY, ADVENTURE TIME, ROCKO’S MODERN LIFE, the HEK TREASURY, NOSFERATU! and THE BONES OF THIS PLACE. Their work focuses heavily on identity, the exploration of mental illness, cosmic indifference, and punk bullshit.

IT SEEPS UP is the comic debut of artist DAVID MOSCATI, and is written by MARIE ENGER. A limited run of 200 red and black risograph books printed by RISOLVE, IT SEEPS UP gets in under your skin and settles behind your eyes. It spreads out like a virus, infecting everything around you, everything inside you. Crawling under your bones, coating your muscles. No one is safe.

WE ARE IN A DARK PLACE collects six short stories from a bleak and desolate place, exploring what fears lie in the hearts of MEN and MONSTERS.  We live in a DARK world. A world where blood rots in men's veins, vampires try to escape their own heads, and a murder is brought to justice through a terrifying transformation. 32 pages of full color, throat ripping horror that will leave you bleeding and begging for more, get a glimpse into a hell of Enger's own creation.

We hope you're intrigued by these stories Dave and Marie are offering!

MORE CONTRIBUTOR BUNDLES ADDED!
over 3 years ago – Thu, Oct 22, 2020 at 04:11:40 PM

The Kickstarter for CORRIDOR Magazine is off to a fantastic start and that’s in no small part due to our wonderful creators. The Contributor Bundles have been a very popular reward tier. In fact, they’re so popular that many are close to selling out. Fortunately, we’ve reached out to the creators involved and we have been able to secure a few extra Contributor Bundles. If you’re interested in one of the Contributor Bundle Reward Tiers don’t hesitate to pledge to them now, as these tiers will remain extremely limited and are going fast!

We’re also excited to announce a new CORRIDOR Magazine Contributor Bundle from JM Dragunas featuring a set of 3 of his haunting prints, as well as a copy of "Fanciful Ridiculousness," the second volume of his artbook series. I first met Dragunas around five years ago and we became fast friends. He has a deep love for weird fiction and his intricate line work will mesmerize you. I have a few of his pieces up in my own home.

As you know the majority of the funds raised by this campaign go directly to the Creators working on CORRIDOR Magazine. In fact, one of the main reasons we want to start this magazine is to make sure contributing creators get paid a reasonable rate and maintain creative rights to all of their work. By supporting CORRIDOR Magazine you’re also supporting the creators whose work you love!

Thank you for helping us have such an amazing start to this Kickstarter campaign. We’ve still got a long way to go, so please help us spread the word and let’s make CORRIDOR magazine a reality!
