BackerKit surveys are coming!
– Mon, Jun 21, 2021 at 04:56:56 PM
Hello CORRIDOR supporters!
The magazines took a little longer on the ghost ship than we anticipated, but they're almost here! We've also successfully gathered all the bundles and art rewards into one location for fulfillment. Get ready!
Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://corridor-magazine-01.backerkit.com.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://corridor-magazine-01.backerkit.com/faq.

3-2-1 Contact!

As of today, CORRIDOR is finished. All the stories and art are done, edited and have been laid out. The final files are at the printer. We're awaiting proofs and should approve them sometime next week. For a sneak peek, we've included a contact sheet below of every interior page for the magazine. We're really proud of how it came out!
So what's next?
Once the proofs are approved, printing and shipping to the U.S. takes 45 days. So we hope to receive them by early June.
From there we'll begin fulfillment, putting your packages together and shipping them around the world.
While we're waiting for the printed copies to arrive we'll set up fulfillment and get all the bundle rewards in one place. If you have a commission pledge, please let us know what you'd like drawn so we can communicate it to the artist.
We're also going to set up a web store so readers who weren't able to back the campaign last year can order copies for themselves.
Thanks again! We're looking forward to getting these in your hands so you can read the wonderful work our contributors put into it!

Production Update
– Fri, Mar 05, 2021 at 09:12:09 AM
Production on the first issue of CORRIDOR is well underway, proceeding mostly as we planned. While the contributors have been hard at work on their stories I have been working with our production team of Dave Moore, Mary Connelly and Ron Bilodeau to nail down the printer and get the physical magazine made. We’re reviewing paper samples and finishes, beginning layout and aiming to have the magazine in your hands by May 2021.
Many of the contributors have finished their stories, essays, comics and art, with only a few left in progress. I’m extraordinarily pleased with how everything’s turning out and think you’re going to enjoy this package of weird and wonderful curiosities. A few stand out so well that I’m even considering submitting them for the 2021 awards season!
Without revealing too much, here’s a peek at some of the art from Brian Level, Jonathan La Mantia, Malachi Ward and Matthew Sheean.
We’re also planning to launch a web store as soon as production finishes, probably sometime in March. That will allow readers who weren’t able to support the first Kickstarter to order a copy. We may even do some virtual events around that time to market the launch.
Stay well everyone. I hope you're surviving this long winter the best you can!
Just Funded! Stretch Goals Announced!
– Wed, Feb 03, 2021 at 01:40:15 PM
Thanks to your support, CORRIDOR Magazine #1 has reached its initial fundraising goal! With this success we’ll be able to pay our contributors a fair rate and print the 10” x 13” first issue!
To help get us get further toward producing a second issue we’re announcing stretch goals to create individual audiobook adaptations of the short stories in CORRIDOR’s first issue. For every $3,000 we go over our $18,000 fundraising goal EVERY BACKER will receive an audio adaptation of a story. These stories are written by Robert Lamb, Nadia Bulkin, Kristi DeMeester and Christian Sager. So our current stretch goal is for $21,000 to make the first audiobook available!
We’re often asked about our future plans for CORRIDOR. So let me use this opportunity to share some of our vision with you, the community that formed around the value of horror storytelling and creator rights.
The purpose of this initial campaign is to find out if there is enough of an audience for a print magazine with our mission. Reaching today’s goal means we’ll be able to produce exactly one issue. But we obviously want to create more.
Ideally, we’d love to build the CORRIDOR audience up, so we can publish the magazine on a quarterly basis. If we can make that a stable endeavor, we’d also like to set up a website to cross-publish some of the magazine stories digitally, while providing a home for multimedia offerings like fiction podcasts and regular streaming interviews with our contributors. This would be a one-stop community hub for high-quality, weird tales in multiple formats.
Of course we’d love to have contributors from the first issue return for future issues. But we’ve got a long wish list of people we want to work with in the future, including names you might recognize like: Laird Barron, Stephen Graham Jones, John Langan, Helen Marshall, Brian Evenson, Lauren Beukes, Gwedolyn Kiste, Tyler Crook, Sam Wolfe Connelly, Nathan Fox, Tomar Hanuka, Becky Cloonan, Matthew Allison, Becky Munich, Ezra Clayton Daniels, Gabriel Hardman, David Hine, Ram V, Skylar Patridge, Johnnie Christmas, Sally Cantirino,Matt Emmons and many more.
We also want to increase the diversity of our storytellers, especially by adding more queer and/or BIPOC creators. So if we raise enough this week to start producing a second issue… who would you want to see in it? You're the community that made the first issue happen, so let us know your wish list in the comments or on social media.
To get to these aspirational goals though, we’ll need to keep spreading the word about CORRIDOR, especially during the last hours of this campaign. The majority of the money from this campaign goes to our contributors and this magazine wouldn’t be possible without their help. If we can raise even more that will give us enough runway to commission work for the second issue ahead of time, so you’ll see more proof-of-concept next time.
